Sometimes it can be frustrating to have to keep reaching for the mouse. FrKeys helps in this situation by letting you assign accents to keys on the keyboard. For example, you could type an ‘e acute’ by typing CTRL+E—or perhaps F2—or another key entirely, the choice is yours! This user is customising some keyboard shortcuts for the French language:
You can see here that the user is making ALT+E produce an ‘e acute’. In the window in the background you can see that the user has chosen to use CTRL+letter to get a grave accent on the letter, ALT+letter to get an acute—and if you press both CTRL and ALT at once you can have a circumflex!
